
At the Bangkok Airport
I can’t believe it! I’m in Thailand with my darling husband Ron on a working vacation! We rarely get to travel so this is a MAJOR TREAT!
Check out this painting (right) of a golden horsey guy; he’s part of a mural in the Bangkok Airport. We arrived at half past midnight, Thai time.
However, our end destination is Chiangrai, which is in northern Thailand near the Burmese border.

We took an Asian Airways flight to Chiangrai after an 8 hour lay-over at the Bangkok Airport which looked like the classiest warehouse I’ve ever seen – metal beams crisscrossing all over the high ceiling. My only beef with Thailand’s premiere airport is it didn’t have any carpeted areas for bone-weary travelers to crash on.
Food highlight – I finally sampled true blue Pad Thai at one of the airport restos! It’s slightly sweeter than the Pad Thai I’ve had in Manila restaurants. 
Okay, I have to cut this blog short… we’re off to an Indian Restaurant!!!
