La Bulaquena 2009 Court of Winners
Congratulations to the organizers of the La Bulaquena 2009 for a successful pageant!
It is 3 am as I write this zippy update on the Top 5 winners of the La Bulaquena 2009 pageant which culminated at around 1:30 am in Malolos, Bulacan. Click here to read more about this pageant which is a mash-up of two famous Bulacan pageants.
The presentation was excellent (although too long at something like 4 hours) and I enjoyed myself as I clicked through the STI computers that helped tabulate all the scores. The audience was a joy – some of them brought drums and cymbals to create fanfare for their favorite La Bulaquena contestants, the others danced and waved baloons and giant posters of thier bets. Thanks to lively crowd, the great hosting skills of Kristine Caballero (Mutya ng Pilipinas 2002 1st Runner-Up) and the lovely 30 plus La Bulaquena candidates, I stayed awake!
TOP 5 LA BULAQUENA WINNERS
From left to right in the photo above:
1st Runner-Up, Candidate #4, Ma. Paula Chavez, Boacaue (she also won the special awards: Face of New Placenta, Best in Terno and Ms Ever Bilena
Ms Bulacan Turismo, Candidate #20, Mary Christine Balagtas, Malolos. She will represent Bulacan in the Ms Turismo Pilipina 2009.
Bb Bulucan, Candidate #16, Laurese Ann Caparas, Hagonoy (she also won the special awards: Ms Daisy Reyes Papaya Soap and Best in Swimsuit). She will represent Bulacan in the Bb. Pilipinas 2010.
Mutya ng Bulacan, Candidate # 7, Christine Meryil Angeles, Hagonoy. She will represent Bulacan in the Mutya ng Pilipinas 2010.
2nd Runner-Up, Candidate #30 Abbygale Rey, Marilao (she also won the special award: Ms Olive Sea – for her beautiful skin)

hey! Bb. Bulacan 2009 is really great! She did very well all through out the pageant especially in the Q&A. I was able to watch the pageant.
