Ma. Venus Raj - loses Bb Pilipinas Universe Crown!
Ma. Venus Raj, who won the Bb. Pilipinas Universe Title on March 7 6, 2010 has been stripped of her crown due to questions regarding the authenticity of her birth certificate.
I recieved this text from the Bb Pilipinas Charities at exactly 10:59 pm:
Today, March 29, 2010, Bb Pilipinas Charities Inc. decided with a heavy heart, to let Bb Pilipinas Universe 2010 Ma. Venus Raj go, after the organization discovered inconsistencies contained in her birth records, in contrast to her personal account of her birth.
When I asked if Nikette Henson, the 2nd Runner-up was taking her place, I recieved this response:
Yep it’s Nikette. But were still grieving for Venus. We really love her. It’s just too sad.
I sent one more text asking why it wasn’t Dianne Necio, the first runner-up taking the Bb. Pilipinas Universe crown but I haven’t recieved any reply. Will keep you all posted! and finally got this text from the Bb Pilipinas Charities:
Dianne was only 17 years old as of Febuary 1, 2010. Underaged according to Miss Universe rules.
So to our NEW Bb Pilipinas Universe, Nikette Henson, congratulations! I am sad that you had to recieve your crown this way, but God has a purpose for letting these things happen. I pray that you represent our country well and do us proud in the Miss Universe 2010!!!

Ma.Venus has good chance in the Miss Universe Pageant,its so disapponting that she was stripped of her title,but maybe its a blessing in disguise because she is not pure filipina being half indian.
Hello Chris, yes, I’m saddened by the whole thing. She would have been a great representative. However, Nikette Henson is ALSO a stunner. With months of training I’m sure she will be in top fighting form for the Miss Universe. Nothing happens without the knowledge of God so I’m trusting that there is a good reason for this… thanks for your thoughts!
OMG! I’m saddened with this. I hope i’m just dreaming. I know and I believe Venus will make a good Philippine representative to the Miss Universe. Though I’m happy for Nikette Henson, but I believe, Venus is still a BIG BIG lost for Bb and for MU. Ms. Joyce, can’t this be fixed internally?
