Maria Muriel “Lala” Moral has been chosen to represent the Philippines in the 2010 MRS. UNIVERSE BEAUTY PAGEANT to be held on August 12-22, 2010 in Vilnius, Lithuania.
If you recall, Maria Muriel “Lala” Moral is the 1988 BB. PILIPINAS-MAJA INTERNATIONAL winner and title holder who brought and gave honors to our country with her two international awards: the BEST IN NATIONAL COSTUME and the MISS MAJA SIMPATICA Awards that she won at the 1988 MISS MAJA INTERNATONAL PAGEANT in Puerto Rico.
Maria Muriel “Lala” Moral is 46 years old and currently lives in Bicol. She runs a business with her husband Joeffrey Pandi who is a Provincial Board Member of the Provincial Government of Camarines Norte. Maria Muriel “Lala” Moral is proud of her two sons JAY and JARRED.

Two Bicolana beauty queens (single and married) from the Bicol Region are this year’s official candidates and representatives of the Philippines in both ‘Universe’ competitions.
Both are Binibining Pilipinas (Miss Philippines) winners and title holders.
Miss Philippines-Universe 2010 Maria Venus Raj (of Camarines Sur) for Miss Universe 2010 Contest in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A. (Aug. 23) and
Mrs. Philippines-Universe 2010 Maria Muriel Moral-Pandi (of Camarines Norte) for Mrs. Universe 2010 Contest in Vilnius, the Capital City of Lithuania in Europe (Aug. 21).
The best of luck to both of them in their respective global pageants and competitions!
May they bring home the prestigious world crowns and titles for our country!

Well isn’t that so cool? Two Bicolanas with the Philippines Universe 2010 titles? One is married and the other is not. One goes to Vegas, the other to Vilnius. Both competitions are in August. Galing naman, You are VERY observant.

Hi Miss Joyce! If I may add, both of them are actually from Cam Sur. Lala Moral is originally from Libmanan, Cam. Sur. She only moved to Cam. Norte, if i am not mistaken, when she got married. Both Lala and Venus are also Runners-up in Miss Bicolandia. Cheers!

So there’s now the annual Mrs. Universe competition. Well, that’s good! Miss Universe has now a counterpart. Miss and Mrs. Universe can now work hand in hand with their global causes to help make our planet a better home in the universe to live in…
I’ve known from a reply to your previous blog about Maria Muriel Moral these universal, worthy causes and purposes why the Mrs. Universe (project) was organized in Bulgaria in 2007:
“To celebrate, honor, and strengthen the image of today’s women of the world who are responsible for the home, family and children, and who play important roles not only in the family (as wives and mothers) but also in the society (as career women in different fields), and to promote and uphold worldwide the significance of marriage and family and good family values as well.”
By the way, I’ve read/known from the official website of Bb. Pilipinas that her proper and complete Miss Philippines title is Bb. Pilipinas-Maja International with the word ‘International’ because the complete name and title of the unique, global Hispanic-inspired beauty competition where she represented the Philippines is Miss Maja International (with International).
Lala would be flying to Lithuania (in Europe), this year’s host country. Mrs. Lithuania, Vaida Ragenaite, is the reigning Mrs. Universe 2009.
If Lala won the crown and title this year, then the Philippines would be the Mrs. Universe host country next year! Cheers!!!
