Thinking of joining a beauty pageant? Well, you’ve got TWO chances coming up this month of October: The Miss Resorts World Manila 2010 and the Super Model of the World Philippines 2010!!!
Here are the details:
The Miss Resorts World Manila 2010 beauty pageant.
Screening Dates: October 9 and 12. (The Oct 9 date is for sure while the Oct 12 date may be moved to Oct 13. Stay tuned to this blog for updates on that!) 11am to 5pm
Update: Final Screening Date has been moved to October 13, Wednesday from 11am to 5pm.
Screening Venue: 2nd Floor Star Cruises Center Bldg, GSTA (across Resorts World Manila).
Requirements: Female, from 21 to 28 years old, at least 5’6″.
Please bring: One full body and one close up photo, a valid ID. A black bikini and a cocktail dress.
Join if you are: The beautiful ambassadress type and fluent in English and Filipino. If you speak Mandarin, Cantonese or Korean, you have an edge!
Description: According to pageant organizer Ms Tati Fortuna, Miss Resorts World Manila is the search for the first-ever female ambassador of Resorts World Manila, the 5-Star Hotel fronting the new Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino Inernational airport. Thirty candidates will be chosen to go through fun and exciting challenges that include an ‘Amazing Race” and America’s Next Top Model-inpired challenges.
Coronation Night: November 11, 2010
Prizes: Winner gets half a million pesos, a one year stay at a condo and an employment contract with Resorts World Manila.

Supermodel Charo Ronquillo
Supermodel of the World Philippines 2010
Screening Date: October 17, 2010 at 8am
Screening Venue: SMX Convention Center beside Mall of Asia
Requirements: Natural-born Filipina, at least 16 years of age.
What to Wear: Black dress, heels, no make-up and clean nails.
Join if you are: Tall, slinky and model-like and can pose and walk like a tigress. Clear complexion, good bone structure and healthy teeth are a must.
Description: This pageant can launch your international modelling career – just look at Filipina Supermodel winner Charo Ronquillo who washas launched the international career of Filipina models like Charo Ronquillo who has been features in the ads of Macy’s, Target, Urban Outfitters, The Limited, Sax’s Fifth Avenue, Triple Five Soul and Rugby by Ralph Lauren. The best thing about this pageant is its all about modelling and not answering beauty pageant questions.
Competition Night: During Fashion Week this October.
Prizes: A modeling contract with CalCarrie’s, the right to represent the country in the Supermodel World Finals and a shot at a US $ 250,000 modeling contract with Ford Models Inc. New York.

Hello Rejjie, I actually have tons of updates on Czarina Gatbonton but I had a terrible week last week and ditched my blog for a while. But I’m back online and the terrible week has turned into a glorious one (isn’t God amazing?) and now I’m back to my old gung-ho self. Problema lang is that I’m flying off to Thailand soon and getting ready for that trip is also eating into my time for my blog, UGH! But will try to do my best – I’m about to upload my interview with Krista Kleiner, our Miss International rep… hope you enjoy that one!

maybe she can submit her profile to Ford then. She really should take her career to the international platform – unless of course she has something better going on here…

Hi Darito, clear complexion basically means (at least from what I understand) is relatively blemish-free skin. Last year’s winner Chat Almarvez is on the Morena side
Si Czarina has clear complexion – at least from all the photos I’ve seen and meeting her in peson onece. SuperModel of the World would never discriminate based on skin color
