Adventures of a Beauty Queen congratulates Danica Magpantay for winning Ford Supermodel of the Philippines 2010 at the SMX in Mall of Asia tonight, October 31, 2010!
My correspondent, Owie Burns of The Edge Radio, covered the event and informed me via SMS that the top three winners were Danica Magpantay (main winner), Sha Whitaker and Kim Fernandez.
The winner of the Posing Competition was Zane Espejon,
the Photogenic award went to Jane Pouler,
and the ESAC Runway Award went to Danica.

She’s very pretty but at 5’9″, she’s a bit short..or should I say….she’s not tall enough to make it in the same realm (read. NY market) as the taller and skinnier Charlene. I hope though that Danica has her proportions so she has a fighting chance at the SOTW finals in NYC in January.
Let’s see what happens but yes, I was just telling a friend yesterday that I wished I was at least 5’10 in my heyday (i’m 5’9″) – that would have given me better opportunities as a ramp model. Problem is I’m still too busty. Even when I’m skinny. But hoping that she makes it anyway – there have been models her height and weight who have been successful in the international fashion world…
