Back in 2010- I thought that she could have won already. I’m happy this girl came back and won. I have to say that Stef elevated the brand of Ms Phils Earth
She is a very beautiful Ms Philippines and based on her past interviews, very charming and smart too
Best of all- for the first time in a long long time we have a winner that is not an aluma of Bb Pilipinas…. We have a girl that really wanted to win Ms Earth…. And that is a very good indication
I also have to say that this year’s edition is an upgrade from the last. Congratssss to Ms Phils Earth
You know jay, she really blossomed since 2010. I like her then but she’s almost like a different creature now when she comes out on stage! A more stunning and regal version of herself. Yes, she brings back that old school feeling of queenliness. I like very very much!
My biggest beef about last year’s pageant was the axing of 10 girls every week. UGH! The worst ever. I better stop writing about this or I can go on forever…
im proud of ms tabuk city she almost get the crown she is an igorota a proud cordellerians…
Maganda talaga…
this year, Philippine pageantry has borrowed MPE’s mantra: recycle, reuse, reduce
heeeeheeheheeheee! naughty naughty… but hey, one thing im glad about is that ‘losing’ is not such a bad thing nowadays….
How true, especially this year. There is a silver lining for recycled candidates after all. Not a bad trend if you think about it.
Joyce — Your prediction was right on. Stephany’s red dress and even redder lipstick reminds me of Gwen Ruais. And it seems that pageant repeaters are winning big this year (i.e., Janine, Nicole and now Stephany). I wonder if a pageant repeater will win the Miss World Philippines as well?
Kyle — Sure, there’s a lot of pressure resting on Janine in light of the back-to-back placements of the Philippine candidates in Miss Universe the last couple of years. I’m no big fan of Janine (I was rooting for Katrina to take that title) but I must give Janine credit for her courage in joining BB Pilipinas twice! — and it does take a lot of courage to compete in a beauty pageant where there are no guarantees. Whether Janine wins or loses at Miss Universe this year, the fact that she would have tried her very best in representing the Philippines (and that I know she will) and stand toe to toe with the most beautiful girls in the world to compete in the most prestigious international pageant makes Janine a winner in my book.
invites to judge an out-of-town beauty pageant i mean hehehe
ms joyce, how do i PM you? i want to inquire re your policy on invitations for out-of-town trips such as Bohol
email me! jaedeelight@yahoo.com and drop me a note in FB Joyce Burton Titular thanks!
wonder why Ms Subijano didnt make it? Perhaps, even with her vaunted facility with the king’s language, what did her in was her polarizing beauty which doesnt really hit you right on target
so many speculations but i’m satisfied with the results this year
the organizers really listened to the fans’ feedback
thanks much Ms Joyce
God bless always
just curious, not to lambast or anything but how did the petite but pretty Athena crown the statuesque skyscraper Stephanie?
Oh wow, I was too busy posting my blog. I use my phone now to blog on the fly. You have a good question. I went over my hubby’s photos of the coronation and while the actual crowning was not caught on his camera, the difference of height between the two is not so bad. Will upload a photo of the two standing next to each other right before the coronation. Will add it to this article so you can see for yourself… I imagine Steph just had to bow down a bit for Athena to place it on her head easily… heehehehehe… we all keep ragging on Athena’s height
don’t worry, even Athena herself knows that it’s not her department… LOL!
Added the photo at the end of the article showing the two girls beside each other…
can you imagine how influential you are to us pageant enthusiasts? you’re the expert i always look forward to with bated breath when it comes to predictions and analysis… you’re the first site i opened to check on the MPE results
by the way, i watched the opening and swimwear parade several minutes back and to my pleasant surprise, we have a lovely batch! the stage looked impressive, the camera angles were okay and the hosts were amazing!
didnt bother to finish though coz of the commercial breaks and the anticipation was killing me so here i am…hahahaha
Are you serious? Well, I just guess who the judges will pick. And then i combine those guesses with my personal choices. Thanks so much for the encouragement
the stage looked good mostly because the lighting was good and the camera work too. And the ladies are beautiful so the background really fades… well.. into the background, aahahahaha! If you were at the venue, though, you wouldn’t have been too impressed. But MPE is not really known naman for AMAZING set design. What they are known for though is cranking out SMART beauty queens who can answer questions!

a big wow to you Ms Joyce for correctly predicting Stehany’s win. I’m happy that we have a beautiful set of MPE winners this year
My sentimental fave however is Sam Purvor. There is that strong likability factor in her. Her tisay features are not that strong but I’m still happy for her 3rd place finish
Good luck to Steph! I’m confident that she will represent us beautifully and as sure as the sun rises from the east, there wouldn’t be howls of protest if she lands in the Magic Four of Miss Earth 2012
But I sure missed out on the other two lovely ladies in my Top 5! But that’s okay, they are beautiful anyway.
You’re last sentence I super agree with. Walang mag-rereklamo if Steph enters the Magic 5 of Miss Earth 2012. She has ALL the ingredients of a WINNER!
Regarding Samantha Purvor, super strong candidate talaga siya this time around. But like the judges, I went for the softer beauty of Steph rather than the strong and striking look of Samantha. And I have to admit, I see myself in Stephanie so I was biased from the start, LOLZ! But good job on Sam for winning an Elemental title!
yeah…she is a deadringer for the One and Only Joyce Burton
