2009 is Gloria Diaz' Ruby Year!
Why do I love Ricky? Aside from his very informative entertainment articles, he is very humble. I met him for the first time (I didn’t really know who he was then) at the press conference of French singer Larusso who was in Manila for a concert. I mistook him for Ricky LEE and was so horrified by my mistake!
It went this way: Someone introduced Ricky LO to me; he was sitting next to me at the time. A few minutes after the introduction I leaned over and whispered in his ear saying something like – so how are your writing workshops coming along? I’d really like to enrol in one of them. Then he turns to me and says, Oh, that’s Ricky Lee who does the writing workshops. DUH ME!!! But Ricky LO was so gracious and did not make me feel bad nor did he snap at me or even raise an eyebrow. I’m sure he was thinking it, but he did not let it show. Thanks Ricky for being so kind to silly little old me!
