When Marva Wright won Miss Costa Rica Universe 2010, she also earned the distinction of becoming the first ever black Miss Costa Rica.
But it wasn’t an easy victory for Marva Wright!
The 5’11″ Physical Therapy student had to go through an extra final question due to a tie. The extra question was about things that money could buy. Marva Wright answered,
Money provides us many benefits and helps us go through our needs and to help others; but money will never be able to buy love; that comes from within ourselves.
While money can’t buy love, it can certainly buy Marva Wright a bigger bust. Unfortunately, she’ll have to skip plastic surgery since there won’t be enough recovery time. She only has about 3 weeks to prepare before she flies to Las Vegas to represent Costa Rica in the Miss Universe 2010.
With such a short time to get ready, Marva Wright’s schedule is suddenly packed with daily interviews and training for the Miss Universe 2010. She’s attending classes in English, general culture, posing, make-up and hair and how to handle questions from the press. Beauty treatments are also part of the package.
Just in case you were wondering, Marva Wright has no connection to the jazzy blues singer of the same name
