Miss Croatia Universe 2010, Lana Obad
The difficulty with competing in beauty pagents is having a predecessor who did great a job. It places a lot of undue expectations on you. In the case of Miss Croatia Universe 2010 Lana Obad, she is following in the footsteps of the previous queen Sarah Cocic (2009) who became the first ever Miss Croatia to place in the Top 15 of Miss Universe.
Putting that concern aside, lets focus on who Lana Obad is. She’s an Economics and Business student at the University of Zagreb, speaks Italian, English and lists skating, cycling, volleyball and basketball as her favorite things to do in sports.
Lana Obad is also a four-eyed monster. Well, at least she used to be. After undergoing a laser procedure, she won’t have to wear glasses or contact lenses anymore. Whew!
But this fresh-faced 5’8″ doll might need to get a new pair of glasses for the sake of looking older if she pursues her dreams of swimming in the world of politics one day. It is true, Lana Obad loves to follow politics and looks up to Hillary Clinton. But Lana admits she wouldn’t be as forgiving as Hillary when it comes to a husband’s infidelity. Nevertheless, she enjoys a happy relationship with her 25-year-old boyfriend Luke.
Even if she is a beauty queen, Lana Obad says modeling doesn’t really interest her. Neither do football players. But she is a fan of Leo DiCaprio and watches all his movies.
