This year’s Miss Great Britain representative is a Latin American stunner named Tara Hoyos Martinez. In fact, she IS the first ever Miss Great Britain with Latina blood. Tara was born to Colombian parents living in West London, England. She is fluent in English and Spanish and has dangerous French!
Aside from winning Miss Great Britain Universe 2010, Tara Hoyos-Martinez was also crowned Miss Charity after raising 2,400 pounds for The Joshua Foundation – an organization that provides holidays and life experiences for children with terminal cancer.
Hopefully Tara Hoyos-Martinez will not just be raising funds for children with cancer but also treating and curing them! She plans to become a surgeon after she finishes her course in Medicinal and Biological Chemistry at the Manchester Metropolitan University.
One of the highlights of her career was being an extra in Tinie Tempah’s video in 2007.
The 5’6″ olive-skinned beuaty queen says,
“I am really excited about representing Great Britain in Las Vegas. I have received overwhelming support from the Latin community in London since my win. I think it represents a milestone for the Latin community in terms of being accepted into mainstream British culture. I just hope that I can do them and the rest of Britain proud.”
The blogging beauty queen sometimes makes mistakes, so IF YOU SPOT AN ERROR in the photos or information, please drop a note in the comments section. Thanks for being a part of Adventures of a Beauty Queen!!!

Please can you correct your publication. This British girl
Tara Hoyos Martinez is NOT Miss Great Britain, she is Miss Universe GB. This is a different pageant. This is a
confusion and a possible
infringement on our trademark.

Dear Miss Fuller:
I am clearly aware of this.
Please click on this link to see that all the girls are listed under my MISS UNIVERSE PAGE and they are listed according to the countries they will represent in the Miss Universe pageant. I just added Miss in front of the country names because it sounds better. And in the article I mention it quite clearly that she is going to Miss Universe. But just to make sure you will not go after me for infringement of your trademark, I have changed her title in my blog to Ms Great Britain. I hope that satisfies you. Will read the article when I get back home just in case I wrote Miss Great Britain. I am in transit between countries and rushing now. My apologies.

This is good news – someone from an international org asking me to change my blog title because of possible copy right infringement! I never thought I would get that kind of attention.
Must celebrate
