Miss Guyana, Tamika Henry

Tamika Henry of Guyana is another Miss Universe 2010 candidate with a bit of pageant experience. She was a finalist in the Miss University of Miami 2009. She is originally from Georgetown, Guyana which is a small country north of South America but now lives in Miami, Florida.

In the Miss Guyana 2010 pageant she was asked something like – as a Guyanese woman, does she think men show women the respect they deserve? She answered that some men do as they provide for and protect the women in their families while there are others who do not. Her bad guy example was those who objectify women in the media (hmmm… that sounds like something not a few have accused DT of).

Aside from the main title of Miss Guyana Universe 2010, Tamika Henry also won the Best Gown prize.

She is 5’7″ tall.

Tamika says she was almost 100% sure of winning with her doubts centered on candidate Crystal Benn who turned out to be her 1st Runner-up.  Tamika Henry is pretty sharp in deducing that she’d most likely win. She’s got guts and lots of confidence, things she’ll be needing in the Miss Universe 2010 and in her career if she decides to pursue a CSI lifestyle. She carries a Bachelor of Science in Forensics (with minors in chemistry, psychology and political science) at the University of Miami!
