Miss Ireland Universe 2010, Rozanna Purcell
Rozanna Purcell snatched the Miss Ireland Universe 2010 scepter from 9 other competitors when she was crowned in Dublin’s Wright Venue. The 5′ 9″ stunner was representing Lillie’s Bordello, a popular nightclub.
This is actually Rozanna Purcell’s 2nd time to join. Last year, she placed 2nd, taking the 1st Runner-up spot. Not Bad At ALL!
Was there a difference between last year and this year’s competition?
In an interview Rozanna Purcell had with Laura Toogood, the blog author of Tales of the Pink Bike, she said there was much more pressure when she competed the 2nd time around. It was a very different atmosphere with a much more vocal crowd. Rozanna Purcell added that the other beauty contestants kept calling her ‘the favorite’.
Well, it wasn’t just the contestants who had a feeling she would take the cake. She attracted a vast majority of bettors and was backed from 15/8 in to 13/8 at Boylesport, a modern sports betting service which employs over 800 people and has 140 retail branches in Ireland.
While Rozanna Purcell is busy with Miss Universe 2010 preparations and modeling stints she is keeping an eye on her long term goal of entering broadcast media from a political perspective. A couple years ago, she flew to Ecuador as Ireland’s ambassadress with EIL – Experiment in International Living programme. While it’s easy to open a blog and start it with a few posts, it takes perseverance to maintain one so I’m hoping Rozanna Purcell will soon be adding more posts to her blog.
