Miss ISRAEL, Bat-El Jobi

Bat-El Jobi, first runner-up of the Miss Israel 2010 beauty contest is a pageant virgin. Unlike most of her competitors, she’s never joined pageants before. That’s because Bat-El Jobi was too busy with studies and then her work in the Israeli military. But now that she has the Miss Israel 1st runner-up honor, she has earned the right to represent the Hebrew nation in the coming Miss Universe pageant.

Thanks to a girl friend of hers Bat-El Jobi’s life will never be the same again. She was the one who encouraged and pushed Bat-El to send in an application.  At first, Bat-el hesitated and told her friend that it wasn’t a good idea. But she was eventually persuaded and told herself, there’s nothing to lose.

A month later, Bat-El Jobi was selected out of thousands of applicants to be in the final list of 20 contestants. That’s exactly why the 5’8″ brunette model still can’t digest what happened to her!

She also did not truly understand just how big the Miss Israel beauty pageant was. And now that Bat-el Jobi is no longer anonymous, her phone won’t stop ringing! She says it’s been the most amazing time of her life!

She recounts that right after several interviews with newspapers and radio stations in her hometown of Afula, she received a sea of Facebook requests from girls wanting to join pageants and get advice from her. People also recognize her on the streets now and she is enjoying every minute of her new-found fame.

Her future dreams include studying special education in learning disablities so she can teach and care for children with learning problems like ADHD.

Bat-el Jobi says that now that she’s on top of the world, she’s finally going to start her life!
