Miss US Virgin Islands, Janeisha John
Janeisha John gets her exotic looks from her mixed Puerto Rican/Caribbean background. This year’s Miss US Virgin Islands Universe describes herself as a fun person who has a passion for entertainment. She has much experience in beauty pageants – as a child she competed for Miss Cinderella and as a teen she joined the Miss Virgin Island Pride and Miss St. Croix.
She also vied for the Miss US Virgin Islands in 2007 where she placed 2nd. Less than a year later she was off to Las Vegas to compete as Miss US Virgin Islands in the Miss America 2008 pageant. Janeisha John returns to Las Vegas this August 2010 to try to win the Miss Universe 2010 crown for her beautiful islands.
The 5’8″ dark lionessa has been a professional modern jazz dancer for 13 years. She is also a familiar face on TV at home. Janeisha John hosted her own adventure-slash-historical show called “Rediscover St. Croix” on a PBS affiliated network. She also hosted a couple other shows, “VI Idol” and “Studio 2″ which are both entertainment/music shows.
This St. Croix native is a Business Administration/Marketing student at the University of the Virgin Islands and is a Dean’s Lister. Janeisha has made it her goal to obtain a Master’s Degree in Business.
