Miss Australia Universe 2010, Jesinta Campbell
Jesinta Campbell’s got quite a job ahead of her; it won’t be easy stepping into the shoes of former Ms Australia Rachael Finch who came in 3rd Runner-up in the Ms Universe 2009 beauty pageant.
This 18-year-old Sydney local (who grew up on the Gold Coast) managed to capture the hearts of the judges in the Australian pageant – Jesinta Campbell honestly thought she was going to place 5th after she struggled through the Q&A portion. She was asked about the importance of sun protection in Australia and broke off twice while she tried to find the right words to say.
The journalism student admits her mind went blank at the time. But according to judge Jackie Frank, the publisher/editor of Marie Claire in Australia, Jesinta Campbell’s victory was never in doubt saying,
Jesinta has vibrancy, confidence and poise that stands out from the pack, she has a gorgeous athletic figure and during the event she reminded me of a true beauty-pageant entrant in a classical sense – just the way that she carried herself down the catwalk and glanced back at the audience before exiting the stage.
