ABQ’s 20 Favorite Video Vixens in Miss Universe 2012! (Based on Web Interviews)
Here are my favorite contestants based on the Web Interviews! I am pleased to note that I have SO MANY choices in this category and it simply means that the Miss Universe 2012 contestants are so wonderful to watch when talking. It was really difficult to make choices. To make it easier, I put more weight on the contestant’s facial beauty, smile and charm rather than what they actually said. Click on the links to watch the web interviews!
Aruba – A surprise! I did not quite like all of Liza Helder’s photos online, specially her early Miss Aruba photos but wow, with the updated styling she had in the web interview (and in more recent photos), Liza Helder has jumped up into my radar. I would not be shocked if she entered the Top 16!
Belgium – This Belgian chocolate delight is extremely pretty! I like Laura Beyne better in video than in photos. Her doll-like face and sweet demeanor will make you think she’s a tiny little thing, but Laura Beyne is quite tall at 5’8″. Just a little more fire in the attitude and I think she can make it into the Top 16!
Cayman Islands – Truly, TRULY beautiful! On print or on video. Although she seemed a bit conscious in the web interview, I found Lindsay Japal to be refreshingly natural. She has this tiny head movement that I find charming. I would not mind a Miss Universe from Cayman Islands, for a change!
China – Yes, Ji Dan Xu (aka Diana Xu) is in my list in spite of the Scarborough issue. I’m the type who looks beyond politics. Bottom line is, I liked her photos and enjoyed her web interview. Her beauty really glows when she smiles!
Croatia – What a beautiful kitten-like face! Her answers did not spark any fire in me but her beauty certainly did. Elizabeta Burg tends to hold in her emotions, at least that’s how she came across in her Miss Universe 2012 web interview. How I wish I could draw out that kitten in her…
Denmark – Josefine Hewitt is stunning in the web interview! I love the way she was styled here from the make-up to the hair and even her simple top. In photos she looks more like a model but in this web interview she looked like a true beauty queen! Josefine Hewitt’s voice also has a hypnotic quality to it…
Ecuador – Gorgeous and cute in one bundle, Carolina Andrea Aguirre Perez of Ecuador had a pretty smile, sparkly eyes and good answers.
El Salvador – Whoah, this web interview has me SOLD on Miss El Salvador, Ana Yancy Clavel. Malikot siyang sumagot, LOL! Her mouth is not the only talkative thing on the video, her hands and eyes do a lot of explaining as well. Ana Yancy Clavel also laughed a lot but I found it sincere and very charming. Make-up is excellent, hair is faaaab and smile is bright!
Germany – I actually liked her web interview! Alicia Endemann talks well and has a gorgeous smile. Whatta-whatta smile!
Jamaica – Chantal Kaky is a stunning woman with a great personality! The only concern I have about the web interview is that she was over-contoured – it made her look too strong.
Kosovo – Ahhh… such a beauty but so stingy with her smiles, it makes me sad. If I could just slap Diana Avdiu a few times, it might just bring out the tiger sleeping within her bosom…
Malaysia – Kimberly Legget has one of the most unforgettable faces in this batch of Miss Universe 2012 contestants. Strong features combined with strong personality – Kimberly Legget will certainly not go unnoticed in this pageant!
Mexico – Her make-up in the web interview is so strong that I was knocked out cold like Manny! Okay, medyo exaj ako but IMHO, Karina Gonzales is so beautiful that she doesn’t need fierce styling especially for videos where the camera is up close. But Mexico is one of the strongest candidates in Miss Universe 2012 and I’d be a fool if I didn’t put her on my list!
Philippines – Loved her hair, her top, her make-up – perfect styling Janine! And the excitement in her voice while telling her stories left a very good impression on me. I think our girl Janine Tugonon is shining brighter than the rest in Miss Universe 2012!
Norway – I think Sara Nicole Andersen is a favorite of mine because she reminds me a bit of Chinchin Gutierrez, one of the prettiest faces in the Philippines. Sara, though has a gap between her front teeth which I never noticed before until I watched her Miss Universe 2012 web interview – I am not sure what the judges or Donald Trump and company would think about gapped teeth. As for me, I don’t really mind!
Puerto Rico – Strong features on this girl. And she had big hair in her web interview which bothered me. Over-smiling is her water-loo, but inspite of all that, Bodine Koehler is one of my top picks because she is a standout whether in photos or on video!
Russia – Okay, somebody please arrest her stylist! I did not like Elizabeth Golovanova’s top or her make-up in the web interview. Her hair was up in a high bun but I wanted to see it down in soft wavy curls. Her styling in the video did not bring out the best in her, sayang. But again, her potential beauty is stronger than the missteps in styling and so she’s in my video list. I also liked her answers.
Thailand – Loving Farida Waller of Thailand with her Cupid’s bow lips. Smart but not as edgy as I’d like her to be.
Trinidad & Tobago – This dark beauty opened her web interview with some singing. I approve! A bouncy beauty this one but I think Avionne Mark made a faux pas with her stray dog answer. Let’s hope the judges are not extreme animal lovers!
Venezuela – What a vision to behold! I heart her to the maxxx. But in reality, Irene Sofia Esser Quintero has got me so worried that Venezuela is going to be Miss Universe again for the NTH TIME! Their reign of beauty has GOT TO STOP, LOLz!
