Aiyana Mikiewicz Wins Special Award in Miss Tourism World 2013!
I picked up this report from AirWindZone! Photos are from his blog…
Aiyana Mikiwicz of the Philippines wins a special honor: the Miss Tourism Asia award in the recently concluded Miss Tourism World 2013 held on October 12, 2013 on the coastal African nation of Equatorial Guinea. Aiyana faced more than 50 other nations in the competition and was included in the Top 20 but unfortunately didn’t enter the Top 10. Venezuela won the title.
Thank you Aiyana! You did the country proud by clinching the Miss Tourism Asia award, bringing new cheer to pageant fans. To us it means that you were the favorite Asian contestant in the pageant! The only other Asian to enter the Top 20 was Thailand. Sadly, there were no Asians in the Top 10.
To those not so familiar with Aiyana, she competed in this year’s Bb. Pilipinas Gold as contestant #47 and won a special award from Jag in the said pageant.
Aiyana returns to Manila tomorrow, October 14, 2013 which also happens to be her birthday. So aside from congratulations, ABQ wishes Aiyana a Happy Birthday and a safe flight home. The Province of La Union and the secretariat of Miss Tourism World Philippines also extend their congratulations to Aiyana Mikiewicz for her achievement for the country.
